First Quarter

Cowie Reds won the toss up and proceeded to take the first centre pass but unfortunately Millard missed the ball but Cowie Reds however, managed to win the throw in. The opposition within Cowie Reds goal circle quickly intercepted the ball. Cowie Reds obtained possession and Millard scored the first goal of the match. North Sea Tigers worked well within their circle, as did Cowie Reds making room for several goals. Ridgway who obtained ball possession for Cowie Reds played the quarter at a good pace with some good defence and a good interception. There was some good balance on court particularly in the centre third by Cowie Reds as well as some hasty passes to the opposition. Morgan and her opponent proceeded to take a toss up but unfortunately Morgan missed this opportunity of gaining ball possession. North Sea Tigers scored 5 goals in this quarter. This was a close quarter for Cowie Reds as they scored 3 goals.

Second Quarter

North Sea Tigers started the quarter with a centre pass. This quarter was well paced by both teams. Cowie Reds had some good moments in this quarter with Brydon, and Elrick who made good attempts at intercepting the ball. Millard defended well with good stretches over her opponent during goal time. Ridgway caught a rebound at one point, passed to Millard, then Elrick, which ended beautifully as Millard scored for Cowie Reds. Cowie Reds made way for some good spaces and short passes, good circle work at times but Cowie Reds also lost ball possession on a number of occasions due to a lack of ball control. Cowie Reds managed to score 5 goals in this quarter giving them a score of 8 goals with North Sea Tigers who took the lead by scoring 9 goals giving them a total of 14 goals for this quarter.

Third Quarter

Cowie Reds took the first centre pass, which were mainly shared by Elrick and Owen. This quarter continued to be played at an even pace by both teams. Cowie Reds made some good movements around the goal circle with some good short movements and passes around the court as well as some over crowdedness and at times lack of defence which made it easier for North Sea Tigers to move the ball around the court particularly in the centre third. Ridgway again made a good attempt at intercepting the ball but unfortunately the ball went out of court off the sideline. North Sea Tigers scored some great goals from the outer circle and also missed some goal opportunities giving ball possession to Cowie Reds. Cowie Reds also lost ball possession due to footwork faults and hasty passes to the opposing team. Cowie Reds scored 4 goals in this quarter, which brought their score up to 12 goals. North Sea Tigers also scored 4 goals bringing their total for this quarter up to 18 goals. This was a close round for both teams.

Fourth Quarter

North Sea Tigers took the first centre pass and Ridgway made a great interception in the centre third which gave Cowie Reds ball possession. Cowie Reds successfully drove the ball up the court and Millard scored the first goal of the quarter. Cowie Reds missed several goal opportunities during this quarter as well as catching rebounds made by North Sea Tigers. Cowie Reds made some good movements creating space in the centre third as well as periods of overcrowding. Millard held her space well within her goal circle but unfortunately missed a goal opportunity. This quarter continued to be played at an even pace but Cowie Reds missed various balls again due to hasty passes to the opposition and not enough strong catches resulting in loss of ball possession. Cowie Reds worked hard throughout the match. They managed to score 4 goals in this final quarter that brought their total score to 16. North Sea Tigers managed to notch up 8 goals with a total scored of 26 goals. Morgan was nominated player of the match for Cowie Reds.
