Uni 2 won the toss and took first centre. Cowie won the ball quickly and capitalised on the steal with the first run of goals. Cowie seemed to find good space and made strong interceptions which they converted into goals. Towards the end of the first quarter Uni 2 seemed to settle into their game. The score at the end of the first quarter was 6-4 to Cowie.
The Cowie game became more unsettled in the second quarter. There was bunching in the centre third and Cowie was finding hard to make space making few goals in the quarter. Uni 2 appeared to be picking up their game with a strong defence and brought the game back to all square at the end of the second quarter 10-10.
At the start of the third quarter, Uni attack proved to be too strong for Cowie. The Cowie goal saw very little action, much to the deep frustration of everyone in the team. Towards the end of the quarter, Cowie picked up their game scoring a run of goals. The score at the end of the third quarter was 19 - 16 to Uni.
During the final quarter, Cowie appeared to be making more space in the centre third and made strong plays into the circle. Uni were however still proving to be a strong opposition with a run of goals. The final score was 20-27 and Cowie takes away 1 point.
